Aims and Scope of Journal of Dairy Science

The official journal of the American Dairy Science Association®, Journal of Dairy Science® (JDS) is the leading peer-reviewed general dairy research journal in the world. JDS readers represent education, industry, and government agencies in more than 70 countries with interests in biochemistry, breeding, economics, engineering, environment, food science, genetics, microbiology, nutrition, pathology, physiology, processing, public health, quality assurance, and sanitation.

Indexing and Abstracting

JDS is indexed and/or abstracted in Agricola, Biological Abstracts, Biological and Agricultural Index, BIOSIS Database, CABI Abstracts, Current Contents, Elsevier Bibliographic Databases, Clarivate’s Web of Science, PubMed/Medline, and Scopus.

JDS Participates in AGORA

JDS participates in the AGORA (Access to Global Online Research in Agriculture) program of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. By participating in AGORA, the Journal of Dairy Science® is available, free of charge, to institutions in all Band I countries (countries defined by the World Bank as having a gross national product of up to $1,000, per capita, in 2001). The AGORA program, set up by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) together with major publishers, enables developing countries to gain access to an outstanding digital library collection in the fields of food, agriculture, environmental science and related social sciences. AGORA provides a collection of more than 3500 key journals and 3300 books to 2500 institutions in 116 countries. AGORA is designed to enhance the scholarship of the many thousands of students, faculty and researchers in agriculture and life sciences in the developing world.
